F.A.Q - IWDC 2021
The meeting is on New York time, but I am in another time zone. Can I still attend live?
IWDC2021 will run daily from 14:00 UTC (10:00am in New York City) to 19:00 UTC (3:00pm in New York City) to accommodate live attendance for as many time zones as possible. We recommend using www.worldtimebuddy.com to confirm the times in your specific time zone.
With so many participants in so many time zones, can I watch the lectures "on demand"?
Yes. All sessions will be recorded and made available for on demand viewing for 90 days following the event.
If I have watched the conference on demand, how could I ask a speaker a question, and could I also see what questions others have asked a speaker?
Questions asked during the live event will be captured in the recording. For questions following the live session, speaker contact information will be available with the recording so you can email them directly.
Are there supporting materials - notes and PDFs of the talks - that I can download?
Any supplemental material made available by the speaker will be accessible in the event platform.
Is there just audio recording, if I want to listen while I read the pdfs?
Audio specific files will not be available, however with the quality and ease of access provided by the cvent platform, you can easily stream and just listen if you are unable to view.
What format will the recordings be in - can I watch on my phone?
The live presentations and the recordings will be hosted on Cvent, our event platform, which is accessible through any browser on any laptop, computer, or mobile device with access to the internet. We recommend using Chrome or Firefox for the best viewing experience.
How do I ask questions? Can I submit them in a written format, or do I need to ask them verbally during the live presentation?
During the live sessions there will be a question submission area in the right sidebar. Questions can be submitted anonymously if you prefer. If you are watching the recordings, you will have access to email the speaker any follow-up questions.
If I watch live, can I ask a certain speaker an in-person, real-time question?
A 15-minute live Q and A will be provided after a long (30-minute) presentation and a 5-minute Q and A after a short (15-minute) presentation).
Also, please see the answer provided for the previous question.

How do I validate my continuing education hours?
Attendees will be issued a certificate at the completion of the live event or once they have completed watching the recordings.
I do not feel comfortable asking questions in a live presentation. Can I submit questions to the speakers in a written format?
Attendees will be able to submit questions in e-mail or message form through the event platform. Also, please review the answers provided to the two previous questions.
The conference language will be English. Is it possible to have subtitles in other languages?
The organizers are working to obtain a system that will provide subtitles in other languages. If successful, then subtitles in other languages will be available.
Will there be group discussions on specific topics? If so, will they be recorded, so they can be seen later on demand?
Breakout sessions on designated topics will be available daily. Participation is included in your registration fee.
